The SDF-1 Macross (Super Dimension Fortress-1) is a massive transformable space fortress and the central setting of Super Dimension Fortress Macross. Originally an alien warship that crash-landed on Earth, it was rebuilt by humanity under the United Nations government. Measuring over 1,200 meters in length, the SDF-1 serves as both a battleship and a space colony, capable of housing tens of thousands of civilians.

Its most distinctive feature is its ability to transform into a humanoid “storming mode” for combat, granting it immense firepower and mobility. The ship’s main weapon is the Macross Cannon, an energy beam capable of destroying enemy fleets in a single shot.
